Volunteers Wanted

Are you looking for a way to make a difference in the lives of men and women seeking guidance in their pregnancy? We welcome all those who feel called to help us with our mission. Here are just some examples of ways that you can help: Administration, Counseling, Reception, Hotline, Male Post-abortive, Data Entry, Client Mentoring, Parish Liaison, Fundraising events, Technical Support, and more!

Featured Volunteer: Judy Kubica

My name is Judy Kubica and I am a volunteer at Waterleaf Women’s Center. I am a mother of four and grandmother of two. I have been married for 28 years to my wonderful husband, Ken. We are parishioners of St. Michael Church in Wheaton where Ken is a Deacon.

I have volunteered and worked at pregnancy centers for the past four years mostly in coordinator positions. I have been a part of the pro-life movement for seven years since the abortuary moved into Glen Ellyn. I am also currently on the Diocesan Pro-Life Action Committee with Ken.

I came to learn about Waterleaf in its beginning stages when it was still being developed. When Waterleaf opened, I knew immediately that I wanted to help. I soon became the Volunteer Coordinator as well as the Mom 2 Mom Coordinator, a mentor program for the clients. I am at the Center two afternoons a week and I train the mentors for the Mom 2 Mom program.

I am very excited about the mission of Waterleaf and I feel very blessed to be a part of it.
